Year of the Manticore, Month of the Black Witch, day of the Minnow
Turns out that Sir Wulfram's daughter is the real "Alathandra".  After two of the party touched her cursed spellbook and were incapacitated by magical slumber, Alathandra somehow swiped Barcl's spellbook even though he had carefully protected it.  The party chased Alathandra to the Caves of Warrock Ashfoote, a salt mine.  They fight animated skeletons and Herluf is swallowed whole by a purple worm that suddenly erupted from below.  Waldo struggles to release Herluf as Barcl and Torgo (Dwarf Cleric) fight for their lives near the cave entrances.

Year of the Manticore, 30th day (day of the Crab) of the Harvest Moon.
The party slays 13 orcs, frightens away the evil illusionist "Alathandra" who speaks with a lisp, and rescues Sir Wulfram's daughter.  They also meet Basso, the redneck gnome. 

Session Date: November 1, 2015
Yr 1325 (Year of the Manticore), 28th day (day of the Fox) of the Harvest Moon.
10 days healing and cavorting.  Barcl spends time in a disorderly house.  They purchase healing potions from a gnomish alchemist. The party heads north once more in search of Sir Wulfram's Keep.  They survive an attack by Dire Wolves in the night.  After resting 2 days, they locate the Keep and begin their infiltration. (2 orcs slain)

Wyvernmist Date: Year: 1325 (Year of the Manticore), 18th day (Day of the Butterfly) of the Harvest Moon.
The party travels north into the forest to locate Sir Wulfram, Knight of the Order of the Crimson Thorn.  Unfortunately they are attacked by gnolls and a Cyclops.  Miles and Brobaca the Dwarf are slain.

Waldo and Barcl return to Ravenglass with the Blue Skull to find the village under attack. They jump off their boat and head for the university to discover Portia hiding in the library. Portia is slain by a mind flayer before Fincl or the party can save her. Fincl engages the monster with magic (temporarily blasting it with some kind of wall of force) and tells Waldo and Barcl to make a tactical retreat upstream to the next village.  

Waldo and Barcl comply with Fincl's orders. In a couple of days, they make it to the next village. The village leader is on vacation, leaving behind a small, rather inept, police force. The village also appears to be infested with drunks, thieves and liars.
